Police investigate incident of upskirting at York station

Police are investigating an incident of upskirting at York Station.

It happened at around 5.20pm on Friday 19 June.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “A woman was gathering her belongings as she prepared to leave the Harrogate to York service when it was pointed out to her that a man had taken photos up her skirt.

“The woman challenged the man and the confrontation continued on the platform when she reported the incident to station staff who called British Transport Police.”

The man left the station on a bike and cycled down York’s Queens Street in the direction of Blossom Street.

Officers believe the man in the image could have information that may assist their enquiries.
