There’s been a police incident on a York bridge this afternoon (Friday).
Five police vehicles were called to Ouse Bridge shortly after 4.30pm
Traffic was briefly stopped from entering the bridge, although pedestrian access was maintained.

The road has now reopened to traffic.
Police were seen speaking to a group of people on the walkway next to the former Rio steak restaurant.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We received a report of a man in distress on Bridge Street, York, at 4.35pm today.
“The road was closed for a short time to enable police to resolve the incident safely. Officers are now arranging for him to get the support he needs.”
