A main York road is closed in both directions due to a police incident tonight (Thursday).
The cordon is on Acomb Road, next to West Bank Park.
There’s police tape and officers stationed at both ends of the cordon, which stretches between the junctions of Grantham Drive and Moorgate.
Incident location
It is blocked to all-comers – cars, cyclists and pedestrians.
Police are redirecting traffic at both ends of the cordon.
Some eye witness reports say a boy has been knocked off his bike in a collision on the road. But this is unconfirmed.
