Police, fire and ambulance crews at incident on York bridge

Emergency services were called to an incident on a York bridge this evening (Friday).

Two police vehicles, a fire engine and paramedics went to Ouse Bridge at about 5pm.

The bridge remained open with traffic being diverted around them.

A Yorkshire Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “Ambulance resources are in attendance at an ongoing incident on Ouse Bridge in York where there is a concern for welfare.”

The incident has now over and traffic is back to normal.
