The window is smashed, with broken glass scattered across the pavement.
Savers is closed until further notice. A police guard is at the store.
YorkMix understands a number of items were stolen before the perpetrated escaped.





CCTV of the incident is being passed to police. The cost of the damage is said to run to hundreds of pounds.

Savers only opened its new store at Odsal House on Front Street last month.
The branch moved into the former Farmfoods shop after vacating its smaller home next door.
