Police were called in following a fire in a York park today (Monday).
Firefighters went to the incident in Homestead Park, off Shipton Road, at 12.27pm.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Acomb’s appliance attended an incident involving a small fire that had been deliberately set to a plastic fence.

“Crews extinguished using one knapsack sprayer and the incident was left with police.”
