There have been reports of small fires set off around Sherburn in Elmet on Friday 10th April.
Both police and fire services extinguished them quickly, which happened in the evening.
Police are now asking parents to speak to their children about the dangers and consequences of setting fires and the risk they pose to people.
There will be increased patrols over the weekend to provide reassurance and prevent further disturbances.
