These pictures show the moment when armed police descended on a York suburb late last night (Thursday).
A number of officers brandishing guns targeted a house on Kingsway West at about 11pm.
Witnesses said that the police detained one person, thought to be a man.

A police van and two officers remain on guard outside the house today.
We have asked North Yorkshire Police for information about the incident, and whether it is connected with the ongoing cordon on Trinity Lane.
