Emergency services were called out after people were seen on the roof of a York building last night (Friday).
Fire crews were called to the seen at 10.15pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A fire engine and an aerial ladder platform from Acomb responded to a report of people seen on the roof of a three storey building close to a river.
The crew deployed the aerial ladder platform to inspect the roof, but no people were found.
“It was believed that they had left prior to the arrival of the fire service.”
