Two people taken to hospital after bus crash near York

Two people have been taken to hospital for treatment after a crash involving a bus near York.

The collision happened at around 6.45am this morning (Tuesday) on the A64.

As YorkMix reported, the road was partially blocked close to Towthorpe Moor Lane between York and Malton.

Where it happened

It involved a Coastliner bus and white van.

The van driver and a passenger from the bus were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We’re appealing for all of the passengers who were on the bus but have not yet spoken to us to come forward as some had left the scene before we arrived.

“In addition to the passengers, we are also appealing for any witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing either or both vehicles prior to the collision, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.”
