North Yorkshire towns to host their first ever restaurant week

Amazing food at mouthwatering prices will be on the menu in the Helmsley and the Howardian Hills for their first ever Restaurant Week.

The celebration of fantastic food and local produce will take place between Monday 23 February to Sunday 1 March, and aims to showcase the region’s award-winning culinary scene.

Over 30 cafés, restaurants and pubs will be serving up amazing value menus and special offers for £15, £20, £25, £30 or £35 throughout Helmsley and the Howardian Hills, Harome, Kirkbymoorside, Malton, and Easingwold.

Named ‘Most Exciting Food Destination’ in the 2024 Good Food Guide, Helmsley and the Howardian Hills was cited as ‘a picture-perfect patch of rural North Yorkshire with a rich natural larder to inspire seasonal and locally-led menus.’

It is situated in a National Landscape where food producers work with local farmers to create delicious locally sourced dishes.

The restaurant week will be delivered by Visit North Yorkshire, and held in conjunction with the Howardian Hills National Landscape, North York Moors National Park, Helmsley Town Council, and YorkMix.

The inaugural Restaurant Week provides the perfect opportunity to revisit an old favourite with family and friends, or to find a new favourite dining spot.

And there’s something for everyone, with offers including cream teas, sharing boards, and two to three course lunches.
