Birdsall Summer Live with The Overtones

A brand new outdoor summer concert is coming to North Yorkshire.
For the first time, Birdsall House will open its parkland to the public for an afternoon and evening of live music – aiming to being a true summer festival atmosphere to the heart of the North Yorkshire countryside.
Birdsall Summer Live will take place on Saturday 16 May. As well as a programme of live performances, there will also be a bar serving summer cocktails and wood-fired sourdough pizzas from Bistro Guy York.
Headlining the event will be the multi-platinum harmony group The Overtones – renowned for their smooth harmonies, sharp style, and infectious energy, blending classic soul and doo-wop with a modern twist. Concert-goers can expect crowd favourites like Gambling Man, Runaround Sue, and Good Ol’ Fashioned Love.

The Overtones are no strangers to Birdsall House, having previously performed a sold-out Christmas concert in the Ballroom.
Band member, Darren Everest, said, “It’s a totally unique venue unlike any other we’ve been to and the Yorkshire crowd always provide a fantastic atmosphere.
“We can’t wait to come back!”
The event will also showcase Birdsall House’s commitment to supporting local talent through the Birdsall House Talent Call initiative.
Lady Cara Willoughby, who lives at Birdsall House alongside her husband James Willoughby and their three children, said: “We wanted to use this stage to shine a light on the amazing local talent we have here in Yorkshire.
“We were completely overwhelmed by the response to the Birdsall House Talent Call – the standard of musicians applying was so high.
“We had a very tough job deciding the winners, but we’re thrilled with the three acts we have chosen, all from Yorkshire and can’t wait to see them perform on the big stage in May.”
There is music to suit every taste, ranging from folk through to opera. The winners of the Birdsall House Talent Call are: folk and country singer Stevie Mould; jazz and soul singer Lauren McNichol; and married opera singers Joseph and Heather Buckmaster aka Flat Pack Music.
These emerging artists will perform throughout the afternoon, leading into the evening’s headline performance from The Overtones.
Tickets are now on sale, with standard tickets priced at £50 and VIP tickets at £90. Don’t miss this unique event celebrating live music, local talent, and the start of summer at Birdsall House.
