New snow and ice weather warnings have been issued for York and North Yorkshire.
The Met Office yellow weather warning for ice runs from 7pm today (Friday) till midday tomorrow. A separate snow and ice warning, runs from 4pm today till 10am tomorrow.
Snow brought challenging driving conditions to higher parts of North Yorkshire this morning.
Temperatures are forecast to drop to -2°C in York tonight.
The Met Office says there could be injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces. Snow and ice could cause travel problems in parts of the county tomorrow.
The good news is, tomorrow is set to be a sunny day in York – a huge relief after all the rain has left North Yorkshire with four flood warnings today.
