More patrols to tackle dog mess in Ripon

People responsible for letting their dogs foul the streets of Ripon are being warned that they can be fined up to £1000 pounds.

Ripon BID (Business Improvement District) is receiving reports of an increase in incidents in the city.

North Yorkshire Council is increasing patrols in the area.

Fixed penalty fines are £50 with the maximum penalty for this offence being a fine of £1,000.
