Firefighters rescued a man from a flat fire above a restaurant in Ripon.
Emergency services were called to High Skellgate in the city at 2.59pm yesterday (Tuesday).
A fire crew rescued the man and left him in the care of paramedics.

He had suffered burns and smoke inhalation.
The kitchen was damaged by fire, and the whole flat was damaged by heat and smoke.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus put out the fire using a hose reel jet.
