A man smashed the window of a Whitby pub using a beer barrel in a late night attack.
It happened at 1.50am on Saturday 8 June at the Middle Earth Tavern on Church Street.
Police say a man hurled a keg left out for collection into the glass.
Investigating officers now want to trace this man, caught on CCTV, as part of their enquiries.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We’re particularly appealing for information about the identity of the man in the image, as he may have information that could help our investigation.”
