A man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a three car collision in North Yorkshire today (Friday).
It happened at about 10.40am on the A6055 near Pickhill, west of Thirsk.
A grey Audi Q2, a red Land Rover Discovery and a silver Ford Fiesta collided. They were all travelling south.

The driver of the Audi, a man in his 70s, was taken to hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries.
The driver of the Land Rover, a 22-year-old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving.
Two other casualties from the Fiesta and Audi were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw the vehicles involved prior to the collision.
“In particular, we believe that the occupants of a vehicle which was travelling north may have witnessed the collision and stopped at the scene, but left prior to police arriving.
“This vehicle is not believed to have caused or contributed to the collision in any way, and the occupants may have important information which could help our enquiries.”
