A man was taken to hospital after being rescued from a smoke-logged home early today (Friday).
Fire crews from Pickering, Kirbymoorside and Malton were called to the property on the A170 at Pickering at 5.16am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews used rapid deployment of breathing apparatus equipment to rescue one male in the property who had suffered smoke inhalation.
“Crews administered oxygen therapy and an ambulance also attended incident to transport the male to hospital.”
