Police have issued an update on the pursuit of a motorist driving the wrong way up the A19.
As YorkMix reported yesterday, officers brought a car to a halt with a ‘tactical contact’ after the incident between Thirsk and Northallerton on Sunday.
They released video footage showing the chase by road and on foot.
Today, a North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “In the early hours of this morning, a man in his 20s was charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance, handling stolen goods, and failing to provide a specimen.
“He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before York Magistrates’ Court.”
