A man has been arrested by officers investigating a sexual assault in Selby, police revealed tonight (Sunday).
We reported last week that police were investigating an incident in Gowthorpe, when a teenage girl was sexually touched as she walked to school on Wednesday.
They issued a CCTV still of a man they wanted to talk to.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Following a recent appeal for information relating to a sexual assault in Selby a suspect has been positively identified and the investigation is ongoing.
“Thank you to those that have contacted with info.”
