A key York road was blocked by a collision this morning.
The westbound lane of the A59 Holgate Road was partially blocked by the incident, near the iron bridge at the junction with Watson Street.

Witnesses said it involved a car and a motorbike. Paramedics treated a biker who was hurt before taking him to hospital.
Police directed traffic past the accident scene. The road reopened at 9.19am.
