York’s latest floods are due to peak today (Saturday, 24 January).
The Viking Recorder put the level of the River Ouse at 3.71m at 2pm. The top of the normal range is 1.9m.
It is then forecast to fall for the rest of the day and into tomorrow.
Today is forecast to stay dry with more rain tomorrow (Sunday).
St George’s Field car park is open, but partially flooded. Rowntree Park is closed.
While riverside routes are hit, the rest of York is open for business.
