After a successful trial, the homeless in York will be able to sleep in specially-equipped pods.
NAP Pads are re-opening in the city to provide a safer and more comfortable form of accommodation.
There’ll be four in all, each containing a bed, pillow, running water and monitoring equipment to make sure the person using it is still breathing.
It’s provided by the company Sleepout and Salvation Army, thanks to a £50,000 grant.
