Trains between Selby and York and Leeds have been delayed tonight after an incident on the tracks to the west of the town.
The line was blocked by a vehicle at the level crossing on Leeds Road at Thorpe Willoughby.
All services between Selby and York/Leeds as well as those to and from Leeds were at a standstill.
The Selby to/from London trains take a different route so were not affected.
National Rail said the vehicle collided with the level crossing, witnesses said it ended up on the tracks.
There will still be delays to services until around 10pm (Monday)
