A man was attacked by a gang on a street off Gillygate in York.
It happened at 8.45pm on Tuesday 30 July on Portland Street.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “During the incident, the victim was approached by a group of males who assaulted him by punching.

“If you have any information or were in the area at the time, please come forward and help us with our investigation.”
Officers are particularly keen to trace one witness who not only saw the assault but helped the victim get home afterwards.
