Four-vehicle crash on North Yorkshire road – Police appeal for witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses to a four-vehicle crash in the fog earlier today (Tuesday, 14 February).

As YorkMix reported at 8.18am, the accident happened on the A1041 junction with Barlow Road between Selby and Camblesforth.

It happened between 7.30am and 8am and involved a Ford Transit van, a silver Audi, a grey Vauxhall Tiguan and another vehicle which left the scene before police arrived.

All vehicles involved were badly damaged but no one was injured.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing the vehicles prior to the collision, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist our enquiries.

“In particular, we are appealing for information about the fourth vehicle that has left the location and the driver.”
