There’s been a fire at Drax Power Station today (Wednesday).
Selby, Snaith and Acomb firefighters went to the incident at 10.30am.
They were joined by the Drax on-site crew. Together they tackled a fire “involving phenolic foam on a boiler”.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “This is believed to be caused accidentally.

“Crews used an aerial ladder platform and breathing apparatus to assist the site fire team with extinguishing the fire.”
