Firefighters were called out to a fire in a York wood last night (Sunday).
A crew from Acomb were called to Acomb Wood at 7.57pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “This was a small fire to logs and rubbish which had been deliberately lit by youths.
“Crews extinguished using two knapsack sprayers and a shovel.”
It is the second such incident in a couple of weeks. A fire crew was called out to a fire in the wood on the evening Sunday, 14 March.
