A dog got into a spot of bother in a North Yorkshire village last night (Sunday).
It became trapped in a cattle grid at Skipwith, near Selby.
Firefighters were called to help at 8.59pm.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “A crew from Selby were called to assist with releasing a border terrier from a cattle grid.
“The crew used spreaders to release the dog which was then left in the care of a vet.”
