Two fire crews responded to a home filled with smoke last night (Sunday).
They were called to Whitethorn Close, Huntington, York at 8pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from York and Acomb responded to a report of a kitchen in a residential property which was full of smoke.

“On arrival of the crews this was due to a fire in a microwave which was out on arrival.
“Crews used thermal imaging camera to inspect the microwave and a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear light smoke logging from the premises.”
