Someone started a fire in the Heworth area of York last night (Wednesday).
Firefighters were called to the Hempland Lane area of the city at 6.03pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “York crews attended a small fire involving grassland.

“The fire was started deliberately. Crews used buckets of water to extinguish the fire.”
