Firefighters put out a fire that had been started deliberately last night (Tuesday).
A crew from Acomb were out in the local area when they came across the fire at 6.46pm.
It was in woodland and measured 5m by 5m.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crew extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and the cause is thought to have been deliberate.”
