Firefighters were called to a fire on Walmgate in York in the early hours today (Tuesday).
Crews from York and Acomb were called after the blaze was spotted behind a commercial property at 2.11am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The crews confirmed a fire involving garden furniture and decking.
“The fire is believed to be caused by a discarded cigarette. Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel.”
