The family of Sam Diatta have released details of his funeral.
Mr Diatta, 39, died after an incident at the Mappin & Webb jewellery store in Coney Street on 26 July.
The circumstances are still being investigated by North Yorkshire Police.
Mr Diatta’s funeral will be held at noon on Saturday 24 September at St Michael le Belfrey Church next to York Minster.
That is close to where family and friends held a vigil in his memory last month.
His family say members of the public are welcome to attend the funeral.
