The high winds and rain have brought down a tree onto a busy York road tonight.
It’s on Sim Balk Lane, just past York College, the route that leads from Tadcaster Road to Bishopthorpe.
The mature tree is blocking half the road.
Location
Drivers can get past with care. But they are being asked to slow down given the obstruction and the conditions.
There’s a yellow weather warning for high winds covering the western part of North Yorkshire this evening.
