It’s going to be another big summer for live music at the coast – and now there’s a whole new way to enjoy it.
Scarborough Open Air Theatre has launched The Rooftop – designed for groups of up to 50 people to enjoy a VIP experience while watching one of this year’s headline concerts.
Tickets to The Rooftop include:
- Concert tickets
- Access to a raised viewing area with overhead cover and club furniture
- Access to a private bar
- Dedicated staff to deliver food from onsite vendors
- Access to private toilets.
Theatre promoters Cuffe and Taylor are hoping experience will appeal to businesses who want to treat their staff and clients, as well as groups of friends marking a special occasion.
Director of operations Joe Robinson said: “We’ve wanted to create a VIP experience at Scarborough OAT since day one and we now feel we have found the perfect solution by launching an exclusive elevated space above a bar that is already in situ.
“The Rooftop provides the perfect VIP experience giving groups of up to 50 people the chance to enjoy one of our brilliant concerts in a completely private area while also enabling them to join the crowds below if they wish.
“We’re hoping The Rooftop will appeal to businesses and groups of friends alike. Whether it’s a thank you night out for clients and staff or a celebration among friends, the bar will give people the opportunity to enjoy an exclusive night in what will be Scarborough’s most exciting bar location.”

Access to The Rooftop must be purchased as a package of 50 tickets.
This summer sees a record-breaking year at Scarborough OAT with almost 160,000 tickets already sold for the gig series which will see 28 headline shows for the first time ever.
The season kicks off with Rick Astley on June 5 and over the following 11 weeks global giants Michael Bublé, Alanis Morissette, Teddy Swims, Hollywood Vampires and James Taylor join a bill which also includes Tom Jones, Paul Weller, Skunk Anansie and Garbage, Bastille, CMAT and Nile Rodgers & CHIC and many more.
