Emergency services were called to a crash on the motorway this morning (Friday).
They went to the two-car collision on the A1(M) southbound, near junction 47, Allerton Park, at 4.56am.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Following a police report of a two car road traffic collision with one vehicle on fire.
“Fire crews from Knaresborough, Harrogate and Tadcaster were dispatched.
“On arrival, the incident was found to be a single car RTC with the car moved by police from the central reservation to the hard shoulder.
“The car driver was being checked by paramedics for minor injuries. No fire to car and no actions required by fire service.”
