Police are hunting a driver who terrorised another motorist on a rural Ryedale road.
It happened at about 11.50pm on Friday (17 November) when a motorist was driving from York on the road between Sheriff Hutton and Terrington.
A witness told YorkMix that another car tailgated the driver for several miles.

Then the grey or silver car – possibly a Vauxhall estate – overtook.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The driver of the overtaking car then stopped and got out, and swung a metal bat or pipe at the windscreen of the victim’s vehicle causing significant damage.”
The witness said the windscreen was smashed.
The attacker is described as
- white
- in his mid 20s
- with short brown hair
- and wearing a blue hooded top.
