This is what police found after investigating reports of a single vehicle collision on a North Yorkshire road.
The car had been abandoned after leaving the road and hitting a sign on the A61 at South Stainley between Harrogate and Ripon.
Traffic Constable David Minto said the driver was located at home and provided a positive breathalyser test. After being arrested and providing a second positive specimen in custody, the driver was charged.
