A lorry has been blocking one lane of the A64 Eastbound near Tadcaster this afternon.
National Highways Yorkshire says Lane 1 remains closed between the A659 and the A1237
There are have been delays of up to 20 mins and 3 miles of congestion.
National Highways Yorkshire added: “Work is ongoing to repair the HGV. Following a puncture on this lorry the airlines were damaged so the brakes are locked on,
“This means we unfortunately cannot move it.
“This is causing significant delays on people heading towards the East Coast”
