The A64 eastbound in York was blocked between the A1036 and A19 due to a collision earlier this morning.
Police have been on scene working on clearing the vehicles out of the road
Delays built up rapidly. National Highways says:
Although the road is open there remain delays in the area which will take a bit of time to clear and get everyone in the queue that formed to get moving again.

The knock-on effect is causing very slow traffic across York, especially in the Bishopthorpe and Tadcaster Road areas.
