Deadline for York Design Awards extended – Nominate now!

The York Design Awards have announced an extension of the entry deadline.

Architects, developers, and property owners now have until 2 April to submit their outstanding design projects.

The 18th York Design Awards will showcase the city’s architectural excellence, celebrating projects that exemplify innovation, sustainability, and respect for the city’s rich heritage.

Entries can be made on a wide range of properties including single and multiple dwelling residential developments, community and commercial buildings, as well as open space, public realm and landscape projects.

Any projects completed in the last three years are eligible to enter. To find more information on the entry and judging process go here.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in July at York Racecourse.

Chair of the York Design Awards Ann Reid said: “We have already received some fantastic entries, but we are giving a bit more time to encourage as many people as possible to enter the awards and showcase the great projects that have been completed in York.”

Last year’s winners included York Minster’s Centre of Excellence for Heritage Skills, York Racecourse and the Cocoa Works.

The YorkMix People’s Choice awards – decided by public vote on our website – was also won by the Centre of Excellence.
