Crews tackle fire in a sauna near York

Firefighters were called to an incident in a property near York this afternoon (Friday).

It was on Wheldrake Lane at 1.02pm.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Acomb and York crews attended a small fire within a sauna.

“Crews used small tools to access the fire and a knapsack sprayer to extinguish. Incident left with staff on site.”
