A crash that caused problems on the A64 in York this afternoon (Saturday) has now been cleared.
It was on the eastbound carriageway, close to Bishopthorpe.
Reports say that a vehicle has crashed into the central barrier on the bridge.

Witnesses say the air ambulance has been called.
The AA was reporting “severe delays” on the road. The crash has now been cleared and traffic has returned to normal.
It was a similar collision that caused one lane to be closed on this stretch of road for five weeks – the lane reopened yesterday after the bridge was repaired.
