A new craft beer bar and shop could be coming to Fulford Road if a licensing bid is approved.
The owners of Sunny’s Café have lodged an application with City of York Council to licence the empty Urban Hair salon next door for alcohol sales.
It’s close to the junction with Alma Terrace and opposite popular pub and music venue the Fulford Arms.
Their application says the venue would feature an outside seating area and serve food.
Sunny Catering Ltd’s application would see the craft beer bar and shop open from 12pm to 8pm from Sunday to Thursday and until 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
It is subject to the council approving the application which remains open for public comments until Tuesday, 10 March.
The business stated: “Application to licence a craft beer bar and shop with an external front area for consumption only.

“Food will be available to be consumed with alcoholic beverages served on the premises and in the external seating area.”
The venue would follow the recent opening of another craft beer bar in Fulford if the application is approved.
Brewhemian Hopsody opened in the empty Lodge Farm Cottage Shop in Broadway after its licensing application was approved in August.
It features a tap room serving craft beers along with an off-site shop selling drinks.
