Get ready for a unique comedy event coming to one of North Yorkshire’s historic venues.
This March, Carlton Towers will open its spectacular Picture Gallery for a one-night-only evening of stand-up comedy by candlelight – bringing contemporary performance into the heart of this Grade I listed Yorkshire landmark.
Comedy royalty Paul Sinha and Morgan Rees, two of the UK’s most celebrated talents, will lead the bill alongside an up-and-coming local star.
Candlelit Comedy at Carlton Towers will take place on Saturday 7 March 2026 across two intimate sittings at 7pm and 9pm.

Paul Sinha is best known as ‘The Sinnerman’ on ITV’s The Chase, and Morgan Rees is a recent finalist of the BBC New Comedy Award.
Set against the dramatic backdrop of Carlton Towers’ Victorian interiors, the evening offers a fresh way to experience the house: blending heritage, atmosphere and live comedy in a completely new format.
Drinks will be available throughout the evening.
Candlelit Comedy at Carlton Towers is curated by HeritageXplore, a new platform celebrating Britain’s independent heritage houses through imaginative cultural programming.
