Chainsaw, drill and bikes stolen in York robbery

A chainsaw, bikes and other items were stolen from a home in York.

The suspect was caught on CCTV during the break-in at a shed on Poppleton Road.

It happened between 3am and 5am on Poppleton Road.

The haul included two bikes, a chainsaw, a bike trailer/trolley, a blue Makita drill in a blue case, and other small tools.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are sharing images of the stolen property and a suspect.

“We are asking members of the local community to remain vigilant and keep an eye out for these items.

“Please be particularly mindful of anyone attempting to sell these items online, through social media marketplaces, or at local car boot sales.

“If you have seen any of the stolen items being offered for sale, have CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage from the area during the relevant times, or have any information that may assist our enquiries, please get in touch quoting the reference number below.

“We would also ask residents to report any suspicious activity involving these items to the police immediately.”
