Casualty cut free after two-vehicle crash in York

One person was hurt in a crash in York this afternoon (Friday).

Emergency services were called to the two-vehicle collision in Huntington at 2pm.

One of the drivers was trapped in the wreckage. Firefighters from Acomb and York used hydraulic cutting equipment to free them.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The casualty was left in the care of ambulance staff to receive treatment.

“Crews made both vehicles safe and incident was left in the hands of police.”
