A broken down car has been stolen from York and police are also trying to trace a valuable handbag that was inside.
The black Ford Fiesta registration number BN03JWK was parked in Fourth Avenue, York.
The vehicle had mechanical issues on the 14/02/2026 and was checked on over the following days.
On the 19th February the owner found it was missing.
The owner had left a Valentino handbag (pictured above) in the car and these bags are very valuable, some cost thousands of pounds new.
If you witnessed the vehicle being moved, have seen it since the 19th February or have been offered for sale a matching Valentino bag, please get in touch with police straight away.
