Police clocked a driver hitting 101mph on a road in North Yorkshire yesterday – and couldn’t believe the driver’s excuse.
The VW driver hit the eye-watering speed on the A1M near Wetherby yesterday (Saturday).
Police pulled over the car.
“His excuse was he needed the toilet but said he didn’t see the sign for the services he had just flown by!” said Sgt Paul Cording on Twitter.
As one of the respondents said: “Omg!!!! Some of the excuses they come up with.”
